Tugrul Ozdemir

Tugrul Ozdemir joined Seed Investments in May 2022 as an Associate.

Previously, Tugrul worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Oxford, and as a VC fellow at Ysios Capital, where he analyzed deal flow opportunities and supported due diligence and management processes of biotechnology companies at various stages of development. Tugrul has extensive research experience in molecular, cognitive and systems neuroscience laboratories, has published articles in high impact peer reviewed journals and provided external consultancy to biotechnology companies and venture capitals.

Tugrul was trained as a molecular biologist in Turkey and the USA, and holds a PhD in neuroscience from the Medical University of Vienna. He is the recipient of a Stanford Conte Scholarship, FENS-IBRO Cajal Stipend, Alzheimer’s UK Early Career Researcher Award, Constantin von Economo Prize for Brain Research and Junior Research Fellowship at Wolfson College, Oxford.
