Paving the way for a more sustainable future

Our approach

A large part of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, the primary cause of climate change, can be attributed to the production and consumption of goods. Radical innovation is needed in these areas if we are to win the battle against global warming and its damaging effects on the health of people and the planet. Recent innovations in biological sciences and technology hold the promise to deliver the breakthroughs needed, but too few of them have been successfully commercialised to a level where they make meaningful, sustainable impact.

Anders Spohr

"There is a huge and growing demand from consumers, corporations and governments for viable sustainable solutions that don’t exist today. At Novo Holdings, we believe that we are well-positioned to help to meet this demand by investing in, growing, and supporting the companies that hold the solutions. As engaged owners, we work directly with our portfolio companies to deliver on the promise of industrial biotechnology and other technologies."
